BOLD Intentions || September

Inspired Life with Jess || Bold Intentions

As part of my One Little Word for 2015, I am setting a handful of BOLD Intentions each month. These are areas that I am going to focus on each month to try to make some good progress with my One Little Word.

During August, I managed to do quite well at documenting my Week in the Life (you can see my posts here). I celebrated a year of being engaged with a breakfast date with my favourite guy, and read The Book Thief (and started WomanCode and The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up too). I have also made travel notebooks for Melbourne and wedding planning, I just have the covers to decorate, which I am looking forward to finishing this month.

For September, my BOLD Intentions are:

  • Complete my Week in the Life album, now that the photos and journalling are done
  • Explore, relax and enjoy Victoria
  • Book a wedding! I have a rough location and a date, now to choose the venue
  • Put together and share my Winter Manifesto. Debating whether to do a photo book or 4×4 We R Memory Keepers album
  • Complete 5 art journal pages. I’m feeling an urge to art journal again!

I will report back at the start of September with an update as to how I go 🙂

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………….. You can see my posts about my 2015 word, Bold, here. If you don’t know what One Little Word is, you can read more about it in this post from Ali Edwards. I will be undertaking Ali’s One Little Word class again this year, and creating an album about my word and the changes it’s manifesting in my life. BOLD Intentions || May

Inspired Life with Jess || Bold Intentions

I haven’t been doing much with my little home on the Net this year. I’ve been feeling rather burnt out and not at all inspired to write. Once writing because more of a stress than a joy, I realised I needed to take a bit of a break. Turns out it was a good thing, since I’ve spent plenty of time working on some projects, catching up on day-to-day life and working on some new routines. It’s been refreshing, to say the least! But now I’m starting to get the itch to write again, so I’ve decided it’s time to stop neglecting my space! So new month, new energies, and new goals abound!

As part of my One Little Word for 2015, I am setting a handful of BOLD Intentions each month. These are areas that I am going to focus on each month to try to make some good progress with my One Little Word.

For May, my BOLD Intentions are:

  • Organise 2 years worth of photos and get them backed up
  • Work on my May list of house projects (I’ll be sharing more about this soon!)
  • Welcome Mum back to the country, since she’ll be back here at the end of the month for a bit
  • Read 2 books
  • Keep working on my new routines (these are all around keeping the place tidier and more welcoming for when I go to bed or get home each day)

I will report back at the start of June with an update as to how I go 🙂

BOLD Intentions || February

Inspired Life with Jess || Bold Intentions

As part of my One Little Word for 2015, I am setting a handful of BOLD Intentions each month. These are areas that I am going to focus on each month to try to make some good progress with my One Little Word.

For February, my BOLD Intentions are:

  • Start working on an Autumn capsule wardrobe. There are at least a few things that I need to add to it, so I see a shopping trip on the horizon
  • Start an 8 week sugar detox following the advice in I Quit Sugar
  • Give my blog a bit of a face lift. Nothing major just yet, mostly an updated header and side bar and maybe the footer
  • Paint 1-2 doors
  • Research selling stock photos. I think this could be a fun project to collate and sell a few stock photos

I will report back at the start of March with an update as to how I go 🙂

BOLD Intentions || January

Inspired Life with Jess || Bold Intentions As part of my One Little Word for 2015, I am setting a handful of BOLD Intentions each month. These are areas that I am going to focus on each month to try and make some good progress with my One Little Word. For January, my BOLD Intentions are:

  • Choose a destination for our wedding. We’re pretty sure we have a date, now we need a location to suit the date!
  • Organise and back up all of my 2014 photos, including the ones on my phone
  • Make at least 15 cards for an Etsy store, work out packaging and find out costs for postage
  • Do Pilates every second day
  • Buy some paint to start painting the doors in our house, and choose a colour for the powder room walls

I will report back at the start of February with an update as to how I go 🙂 ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………….. I-Choose

December has been my favourite time of the year for a long time now! I’m looking forward to it even more this year since it’s our first year in the new house! This month I will:

I Choose – November

I-Choose

I feel like this year is flying past… It feels like just yesterday that we were entering into the new year. Surely it can’t really be November already?!

This month I will:

  • Complete my Week in the Life album. I have all the photos and words, just need to put it all together and get an album
  • Catch up on my One Little Word album. It is getting there, I just have a couple more prompts to print and decorate
  • Paint spots on our powder room walls, get curtains for in there and find 4 planters and plant combos that I love
  • Make a cushion for our lounge
  • Finish weeding our back yard. It seems the weeds grow quite well in our clay soil!
  • Cook 2 new Mexican recipes
  • Buy A Beautiful Mess Happy Homemade Home. I’ve been wanting this for awhile now
  • Work on the Catch up with Project Life class through Big Picture Classes
  • Get back into writing on the train each day

I Choose – September

I Choose || Inspired Life with Jess

Last month was quite a busy one. I ended up with the flu twice, and went away for a week, where I spent time creating, relaxing and recovering. I did terribly with my goals for August because of it, but since it’s a new month, I have some new ones to focus on, and I’m feeling recharged and refreshed and ready to go, so it will be a good one!

This month I will:

  • Make a raised garden bed and start growing some veggies
  • Complete at least one unfinished project
  • Finish my Winter Manifesto (update coming soon)
  • Read a new book (either It Starts with Food or 1-Minute Gardener)
  • Finish building our new computer table. It will be our first big house project together
  • Celebrate my sister’s coming home from Africa (on Wednesday!) and Father’s day this weekend
  • Complete a photography class in the City
  • Work on some more art journal pages. I’m aiming for at least one a week
  • Knit as much as I can while the weather is still cool enough to do so, since it’s starting to warm up already
  • Go on a picnic

I Choose – August

I Choose || Inspired Life with Jess

I never used to understand what people meant when they commented about how time flies. I swear the older I get, the faster it seems to go! Someone needs to press pause or set time back to half speed! July flew by, and it was incredibly busy again, but still such a good month! I made good progress with my goals for the month, even when I managed to slice my finger pretty well installing our Colourbond fence. I didn’t get much knitting done, and photography classes kept being cancelled due to weather, but I did pretty well with the rest of my goals!

This month, I will:

  • Finish my black and white knitted blanket. I have about 26 rows left, and I’m determined!
  • Try 2 new recipes. I think one will be something with fish, since we want to eat more fish
  • Build a computer bench for our living room. This is something we decided we wanted way back when we were planning the layout for our house!
  • Complete at least one Unfinished Project
  • Try art journalling. I’ve been seeing so much inspiration around for it lately, and I want to sign up for this class and give it a shot
  • Plan out and start gathering supplies for a travel gallery wall, have a couple of art pieces commissioned and start hanging some things on our walls
  • Go to a photography class in the City. Hopefully some travel photography classes
  • Read a new book. I have 2 that I am excited about (It starts with Food and Dark Places)
  • Take a few days off work to catch up some projects. I feel like I need a break and have gotten behind on a few things with how busy everything has been lately, so it seems like a good time!
  • Send some happy mail. No idea what I will send and who it will be to, but I really feel like now is a good time for it!
