27 Recipes – Noodles in Sweet Soy Sauce with Beef

Noodles-in-Sweet-Soy-Sauce-with-Beef

Last weekend we had a Thai food night at Mum’s place again. We decided that we would make our favourite of satay chicken again, but that we would try a few new recipes, and this was one of them. We also had green curry, sweet chilli beef, and fried rice. Yes, I have taken better photos since the lights at Mum’s do horrible things for my white balance!

My Thoughts

Overall, I liked this dish, but next time, I would use less noodles and more vegetables, since I’m not the biggest fan of noodles, and would grate the ginger. Also, since this was the first dish of the 5 we made, we put it in the oven at about 80 degrees while we cooked the other dishes (about 20 minutes all up) and it was a little dried out even though it was in a metal tray and covered in foil. Next time, I would skip this step, and if needed, reheat in the wok for a minute or so.

The Family’s Thoughts

Mum, the girls, Nan and Michael were all there when we made this. Everyone thought it was good, but out of all the dishes we made, it was outranked by the satay and the sweet chilli beef, and on par with the green curry, which was too spicy.
