Project Life 2013: Week 8

Another week done and dusted, and I love how this album is coming together so much!

The first couple of days of this week were spent at home, then the rest of the week was spent in Thailand. Because the week was split up as such, I decided I’d use the left page for the days at home, and the right page for the days in Thailand. I think this worked out to be an awesome idea, and loved the result!

Since it was a travel week, I wanted to keep things nice and simple. On the left page, I chose to make a photo collage for my Valentine’s scavenger hunt for Michael, so that I could fit in a number of the photos without having to take up lots of spaces. The photos of the Church are random ones I take every so often when I walk past on my way to work, even though I’ve never been in there. And the suitcase photo has some of the items I packed listed directly on the photo. I also told a couple of extra stories on the journalling cards, since they didn’t have photos anyway.

For the right side, I chose to use a full size photo from our trip on the page, and placed my quote card in the usual spot. I love this effect of the full photo page! I’ve kept the journalling to a minimum, since I’ve decided that I’m going to put insert pages between this week and the next week to more fully document the trip anyway. All I included journalling wise was list of activities that we did each day.

I’ve also decided I’m after more simple title cards, so I’m going to try using the small week above the date box for a few weeks, to see if I like it. If not, I’ll find another way to change it around soon enough!
