I saw Elise’s blog post a few days ago when she did a photo walk focusing on patterns and I loved the unique photos she took. I didn’t think I’d be able to do something similar to that on my walk to work since I’ve never noticed many patterns around the area, but when I walked to work the next day, I was seriously inspired!
My walk to work takes me 20 minutes. I walk the same way most days, and up until now, I’ve never really noticed just how many patterns there are in the area! So many fences have details I had not noticed before, there were patterns on gates, hinges, plants, stairs, grates on the ground… Over the last 3 days, I’ve taken 40 pattern photos!
Here are some of my favourites:
This was a fun challenge, and it’s made me way more observant of what is around me, even if it seems mundane. I think I’ll be undertaking a few more of these photo walks though! I can’t wait to get to explore new areas in similar ways as well.
