Chocolate Spiders

Chocolate Spiders - 3

I  love chocolate spiders, and find that they are great to give as gifts as well, since I’m yet to come across someone who doesn’t love them. They are great for kids parties, too! I find these can make a great Easter present for pretty much anyone, since it create a little bit of variety to the usual Easter eggs.

Chocolate Spiders - Ingredients

Ingredients:

100g packet plain fried noodles
2 tablespoons peanut butter (can be crunchy or smooth)
200g milk chocolate

Method:

Melt the chocolate and peanut butter together in the microwave. I usually put it in for about 1 minute and stir it to see how it is, then 10 seconds at a time after that.

Chocolate Spiders - 1Once the chocolate is melted, mix in the noodles. Be careful not to break up the noodles too much, and to make sure that they are all pretty well coated in the chocolate.

Chocolate Spiders - 2Spoon out onto an oven tray lined with baking paper. Depending how big you make them, you can get anywhere from 12-18 or so. Refrigerate until set, then enjoy!

Variations: You could also add some other mix in’s if you wanted to, things like mini marshmallows and jelly lollies to make rocky road spiders, or different types of nuts. You could also use dark or white chocolate as well. And if making these for a kid’s birthday, you could sprinkle with 100’s and 1000’s as well, for a fun twist, just make sure you do this while the chocolate is still melted.
